Kylie has extensive experience in the corporate communications field and works extensively with a variety of operations varying in size from small business to large national corporations. She has more than 20 years experience in various areas of the media, ranging from metropolitan based advertising agencies to marketing departments of major regional newspapers. These positions not only utilised her journalistic and public relations skills, but also provided vital exposure to a wide range of media.

Kylie started Out of the Blue Marketing in 1997 and represents the company with such clients as The Mater Hospital, G&S Engineering, Whitsunday Voices Youth Literature Festival and Abigroup just to name a few.

Kylie, in conjunction with the executive team of the hospital, provided strategies for community
and professional consultation regarding the new $40 million redevelopment of the Mackay Mater Hospital.

Kylie coordinated the launch of a number of major local project developments after liaison with community groups and local council. She currently provides ongoing support for these projects through advertising and marketing campaigns, along with the coordination of promotional campaigns and sponsorships.

Kylie brings has extensive background experience in the areas of professional writing, community consultation, media liaison, advertising and marketing.

She is well regarded and respected in the CQ community and has a long family history in the region dating back to 1883, is Chair of the Mackay Chamber of Commerce and a Director of the Mackay Whitsunday Regional Economic Development Corporation, giving her an unparalleled level of community awareness, access and knowledge.
Outside work her life revolves around her young family and voluntary community work to support the region she loves.
